Keep on Truckin'

I have gotten pretty much all of my research done and it just needs to be arranged properly. I have history on the piece and the artist, Rene Magritte. These elements are coming in handy with analyzing the piece, which I am still in the process of doing.

My Goal in Site

So far in the project I am about three quarters of my way through my research. I still have a couple more sources to get. As for my written description I have a solid rough draft that just needs a bit of tweaking. After that I will work on analyzing the piece and comparing it to two other pieces. I will then formulate that into a presentation and make a powerpoint. I think that 5-7 minutes is perfectly enough time to get my points across.

Lets Get Started

Today I picked up many interesting tidbits of information on my chosen piece and its respective artist. After doing some research I have already dicovered some challenges that are in store for me. One is that it is going to critically analyze it well and make connections in my head on what the piece is trying to convey. It will take a couple headaches but I think it is definately achievable. I still have some researching to do and then after that I plan to look all the facts and then really think about what the piece is trying to convey. I am eager to do this because it will definately help with the whirl wind of confusion in my head.

We Have a Winner!

After much debating on what to choose for my project, I am done. I have decided to depict "The Healer" by Rene Magritte, for my art in human form project. I felt that the piece really has potential for some great analysis and it really drew me in the second I saw it.

Research Happenings

I used google a lot in searching for information behind a couple pieces I was interested in. I found some very useful resources that included information on the pieces and their respective artists. I am also very close to choosing one piece for the project.

The Beginning

All my experiences with this Human Art Form project have been good so far. Right away I found many great pieces of art from such artists as Matisse, Ernst and Magritte. It was a very hard choice, but for my piece I chose "The Healer" by Rene Magritte (not set in stone yet).
